and BBCarabic.com announce they will be cooperating to provide
the world's first Arabic language mobile information service. In
an innovative partnership venture, BBCarabic.com news and information
in Arabic will be brought to mobile users in the Middle East and
around the world, through SMS technology or WAP-enabled handsets.
BBCarabic.com content will form the backbone of Info2cell's Arabic
language information services.
In
the first deal ever seen of its kind in the Middle East, the region’s
pioneering and market leading mobile information services provider,
Info2cell, has announced that European Wireless-Value Added Services
pioneer Acotel Group is to invest in a 33% stake in the company.
 Info2cell
have teamed up to offer a specialized IT and Telecoms Mobile Information
channel offering SMS alert and WAP based information services from
the leading IT and Telecoms publisher in the Middle East region,
ITP.net.
The service
to be launched is part of major drive by Info2cell to enhance the
number of specialized Mobile content channels offered to the Middle
East region to support the growing demand of Mobile Information
services.
Info2cell launches the first commercial wireless information services
in the Middle East with Fastlink of Jordan. The service,
Rassel, offers Fastlink's mobile subscribers a choice
of 250 categories available in both Pull and Push.
